What it checks
- Margins
- Top 2.5 cm, left 2.5 cm, right 1.5 cm, bottom 1 cm, measured from the ink on each sheet.
- Black lines, no gray
- Flags colored marks and gray fills or shading that will not reproduce cleanly.
- Letter height
- Smallest lettering against the 0.32 cm minimum, read from the PDF text layer.
- FIG. labels
- Each sheet should carry a “FIG. n” label for every view.
- Sheet numbers
- Looks for “1/3”-style numbers in the middle of the top of the sheet.
- Reference numerals
- Lists numerals repeated on a sheet so you can confirm they name the same part.
Scanned sheets and images have no text layer, so letter height, labels and sheet numbers are marked “by eye” for you to confirm. Passing these checks does not mean the drawings show every claimed feature; that remains the filer’s judgment.
